Genentech, a member of the Roche group, seeks a Principal Scientist to provide scientific leadership across drug development, from discovery to clinical stages. You will synthesize toxicology data, shape safety strategies, and supervise safety studies in collaboration with pathologists, translational scientists, and clinicians.

The role emphasizes timely decision-making, weight-of-evidence analyses, and early regulatory interactions to enable program progression.

Qualifications

• PhD and post-doctorate or equivalent experience in toxicology or a relevant field.
• Minimum 3+ years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO industry related to toxicology.
• Experience in drug development demonstrating strong decision making, complex problem solving and data interpretation.
• Experience interacting with global regulatory authorities is highly desired.
• Board certification in toxicology is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead safety assessment of multiple development programs and provide best weight-of-evidence evaluations.
• Design and implement safety strategies from discovery through regulatory milestones.
• Collaborate with pathologists, pharmacologists, translational scientists, clinicians, and regulatory colleagues.
• Author regulatory documents and communicate risk and strategy to governance bodies.
