Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a PBM Test Architect Principal to guide end-to-end testing strategy, quality architecture, and release-readiness evidence across the New PBM Platform program. You will define test frameworks, standards, and governance across build, integration, and client re-implementation activities.

You'll partner with platform and product engineering, enterprise architecture, security, and delivery teams to set QA direction, establish readiness gates, and drive AI-assisted testing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software testing, quality engineering, technology architecture, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience defining enterprise-scale test strategies and governing quality across multiple engineering and delivery organizations.
• Experience influencing senior technical leaders and executives without relying on direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the program’s end-to-end test strategy, architecture, operating model, and multi-year quality roadmap.
• Establish standards for unit, contract, integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, resilience, security, data-conversion, migration, and operational-readiness testing.
• Define the release ladder, entry and exit criteria, evidence standards, sign-off expectations, and traceability across delivery teams.
• Create reusable testing patterns and reference architectures to support platform scale, frequent releases, and client waves.
• Provide technical governance for quality decisions and independently assess test evidence for readiness gates.
• Own the test automation strategy, data strategy, and AI-assisted quality practices across the program.
