Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer 6 to apply senior engineering expertise across the full system life cycle, with emphasis on AWS, AI/ML systems, security, and data lifecycle management. This on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD requires Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and strong government-facing communication.

The position supports AI-focused cloud and platform engineering efforts, guiding technical integrity and deliverables while collaborating with government

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Experience across the full system life cycle.
• Ability to communicate with Government stakeholders, program personnel, and senior executives.
• Experience with cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or platform engineering, especially in AWS.
• Experience with AI/ML system design and implementation.
• High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring).
• Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps.
• Experience with system security and networking on classified systems.
• Experience with data engineering and data lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering across the system life cycle phases (concept, development, production, utilization, support, retirement).
• Interface with Government on technical considerations and issues.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Maintain technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables across ISO/IEC 15288 areas.
• Support requirements definition, architecture design, integration, verification, and transition.
• Support project and enterprise process areas including planning, assessment, control, and risk management.
• Engage stakeholders to inform system architecture decisions and collaboration across teams.
