Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Systems Engineer 6 to apply senior engineering expertise across the full lifecycle, with emphasis on AI-focused cloud and platform engineering, AWS, security, and data lifecycle management.

The role interfaces with government stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of complex deliverables across key ISO/IEC process areas, while enabling robust ML pipelines and secure classified systems.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Experience applying systems engineering across the full system life cycle.
• Ability to ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables.
• Experience with cloud architecture, especially AWS.
• Experience with AI/ML system design and implementation.
• High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring).
• Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps.
• Experience with system security on classified systems.
• Experience with data engineering and data lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering across concept through retirement lifecycle.
• Interface with Government regarding engineering considerations and issues.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Maintain technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work and deliverables.
• Support requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, integration, verification, and transition.
• Support project and enterprise processes including planning, risk management, configuration, and information management.
• Support acquisition and supply in agreement processes.
• Assist cloud/platform engineering efforts with emphasis on AI and data lifecycle.
