Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of direct switchboard/motor control center or low‑voltage switchgear design experience.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into executable designs.
• Experience with UL 891/ UL 845/ UL 1558 and certification processes.
• Strong knowledge of short‑circuit ratings, bus bracing, grounding, and testing.
• Hands-on leadership across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering development of switchboards from defined product requirements through production release.
• Translate required applications, ratings, performance objectives, and layouts into complete technical designs.
• Establish the product architecture to meet electrical, mechanical, thermal, certification, manufacturing, cost, reliability, and serviceability needs.
• Create development plans, engineering requirements, design reviews, and documentation.
• Lead cross‑functional technical work across electrical/mechanical engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, certification, and testing.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for switchboard development through the product lifecycle.
• Own the design and development of switchboard bus structures, enclosures, and related components.
• Coordinate certification activities with UL and testing laboratories.
