Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Principal Switchboard Development Engineer to lead the engineering development of its switchboard portfolio. You will translate requirements into complete, manufacturable designs and own bus structures and enclosures through certification and production release.

The role requires deep technical leadership, experience with relevant UL standards, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and certification partners to deliver scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Demonstrated experience leading switchboard or power distribution product development.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into executable designs.
• Experience with UL 891, UL 845, or UL 1558 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development of switchboards from requirements to production release.
• Own design of bus structures and electrical enclosures.
• Direct analysis, testing, and certification activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and certification labs throughout product lifecycle.
