Job summary

The Structures Company in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Principal Subcontracts Specialist to lead the FAR15 subcontract lifecycle from proposal to order fulfillment. You will negotiate terms with suppliers and ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations.

Mentor team members, manage key program suppliers, and develop supplier strategies to maximize value. 5–7 years of subcontracting experience and extensive FAR15 knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
• 5–7 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, L&C, Business, or Finance.
• Subcontracting experience with FAR15.
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
• Experience managing subcontracts of types including FFP, CP, and CPIF.
• Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD).
• Experience utilizing MS Office Suite and SAP for subcontract management activities.
• Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of the program lifecycle.
• Experience with the DoD Procurement Life Cycle.
• Ability to understand and negotiate terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end FAR15 proposal and subcontract lifecycle from proposal through sales order fulfillment and negotiation of subcontracts or long-term purchase orders.
• Execute FAR15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations.
• Build negotiation positions for contract execution and manage key program suppliers.
• Mentor and train team members on FAR15 subcontracting.
• Lead a commodity within the Mechanical Assembly Government Sourcing team.
• Deliver compliant FAR15 packages to the Government.
• Work with Pricing to deliver compliant packages and negotiate terms with suppliers.

Summary:

Leads end-to-end FAR15 proposal and subcontract lifecycle from proposal through sales order fulfillment and negotiation of subcontracts or long-term purchase orders. Executes FAR15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations. Builds negotiation positions for contract execution. Manages key program suppliers and supplier relationships.
