Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT, is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to support the Sentinel program. The role focuses on advanced structural analysis of metal, composite and non-metallic structures, including damage tolerance and finite element modeling.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust designs for aerospace systems. The candidate should have strong CAD/CAE experience, advanced degrees preferred, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret

Competenze

US Citizenship with ability to obtain SAP access and DoD Secret clearance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience in structural analysis and CAD cleanup for analysis.
Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent for data manipulation.
Experience with static and dynamic structural analyses using engineering tools.
Knowledge of thermal analysis and heat transfer methods.

Mansioni

Perform structural analyses of metallic, non-metallic or composite structures for Sentinel program.
Develop specifications, analyze damage tolerance, durability and design allowables.
Use CAD/CAE tools (CATIA/IDEAS/ProEngineer) to prepare geometry for analysis.
Collaborate with systems, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design and test teams.
