Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Sentinel program, located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, Utah. The role focuses on analysis of structures, metals, composites and related subsystems, with opportunities to work on high-profile defense projects.
The candidate will leverage ABAQUS/ANSYS/FEMAP and MATLAB for analysis, and must hold US citizenship with a active DoD secret clearance. 9/80 schedule and relocation support may apply.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years experience or Master’s in STEM with 0 years experience.
- US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance (last 5 years) and ability to obtain SAP.
- Experience running dynamic and/or static structural analysis.
- Experience with ABAQUS, ANSYS, FEMAP (with Nastran).
- MATLAB proficiency for analysis and data manipulation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structural engineering specifications for metallic, non-metallic or composite materials.
- Support Sentinel program facilities and subsystems design/analysis.
- Utilize tools such as CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and related software for analyses.
