Job summary

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to bridge platform engineering and database teams. The role focuses on automating CICD, IaC, and cloud deployments while enabling self-service tooling for cloud databases.

The candidate will lead 7x24 support, architect AWS resources, and drive modernization with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins. Strong collaboration and executive communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technology areas.
• 18–20 years overall related technology experience.
• 8–10 years’ experience in heavy infrastructure, DevOps / CICD in large transformation organizations.
• Experience with Jira / Confluence and Agile tools.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python.

Responsibilities

• Owns CICD with collaboration across technical teams and customers.
• Implement best practices for software delivery CI/CD.
• Develop and manage IaC using Terraform and automation tools.
• Architect AWS resources and container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Drive automation and security-related activities across the org.
• Define development, test, release, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Lead 7x24 mission-critical support and continuous deployment initiatives.
