Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect in the Strategic Accounts segment to partner with our most valuable customers and design cloud architectures using AWS services.

You will influence product direction and help customers expand into new markets by leveraging AWS capabilities, while collaborating with internal teams and executives. You will shape cloud adoption strategies, drive AWS usage, and lead in-depth technology discussions with Enterprise Architects,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation.
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced and ambiguous environment, or experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre‑sales, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Principal Solutions Architects work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities. They have a leading role in developing both the strategy and the team itself.
• Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform.
• Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team through influencing decision makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform which align to long‑term business goals.
