Jobtailor is seeking a Salesforce Architect to guide enterprise-level technology direction and shape major Salesforce initiatives across multiple teams. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
12+ years of software engineering experience in Salesforce clouds.
Expert in leading design reviews and establishing standards.

Deep knowledge of Lightning Web Components, Aura, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs, integration patterns, and Git workflows.

Job description

Define, influence, and collaborate on enterprise-level solution designs, engineering strategy, governance standards, and long-term technology direction.
Guide long-term technical direction for Salesforce.
Create alignment and accountability across teams for strategic technical outcomes without formal reporting authority.
Advise engineering leaders, architects, product leaders, and delivery teams on complex technical tradeoffs.
Mentor engineers through design guidance, code reviews, pairing, and communities of practice.
Connect engineering decisions to enterprise outcomes, risk, cost, scalability, and customer value.
Define reusable application, API, eventing, and integration patterns across platforms.
Influence integration strategy, data movement standards, service boundaries, and cross-system orchestration.
Drive OpenAPI specifications, contract-first practices, integration testing, and dependency management.
Evaluate complex cross-domain designs and influence enterprise technical decisions and standards.
Define organization-wide code quality, maintainability, SDLC, testing, and governance expectations.
Establish secure-by-design patterns and influence controls for access, data protection, auditability, traceability, and regulatory readiness.
Define reliability, resilience, observability, and operational readiness expectations.
Lead root cause analysis for systemic issues and sponsor improvements that reduce recurring incidents and operational risk.
Define technical debt strategy, modernization roadmaps, platform retirement approaches, and investment recommendations.
Lead high-impact initiatives spanning multiple teams or programs.
Resolve ambiguity and remove cross-team technical blockers.
Identify opportunities to improve security, data integrity, performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and developer productivity.
Influence AI-native engineering patterns, adoption strategy, governance, and productivity measurement.
Partner with product and business leaders to sequence technical investments and balance delivery with long-term sustainability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems or equivalent.
12+ years of software engineering experience, working in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud or related areas.
Expert level experience leading technical design reviews and establishing standards across teams.
Expert level experience providing technical direction for complex Salesforce initiatives.
Experience identifying platform limitations and developing scalable patterns, least-privileged architecture, and Salesforce security framework expertise.
Advanced knowledge of Lightning Web Components and Aura framework.
In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Advanced knowledge of Apex, SOQL, and SOSL.
Advanced knowledge of Apex triggers, batch classes, and scheduled classes.
Advanced knowledge of data modeling and Salesforce flows.
Advanced knowledge of secure programming within the Salesforce Platform.
Advanced knowledge of Developer Console, Query Optimizer, Data Loader, CLI, and Debug Logs.
Advanced knowledge and implementation experience with integration patterns and Salesforce APIs.
Advanced knowledge of REST/SOAP API concepts and REST-based services.
Advanced knowledge of Git and source control processes, including pull request reviews, branch management, and merge conflict resolution.
Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce CI/CD using a tool such as Gearset.
In-depth experience with Scrum and Agile software development methodology.
Experience with the SAFe agile framework is a plus.
Advanced experience troubleshooting and isolating root causes in Salesforce applications.
Ability to read, use, and produce system design artifacts such as flowcharts and wireframes.
Demonstrated experience defining or enforcing solution design standards, engineering strategy, or governance across multiple platforms, products, or technology domains.
Experience in at least one technology ecosystem outside Salesforce.
Proven ability to influence enterprise technology decisions and drive cross-functional alignment without direct authority.
Expert knowledge of software engineering principles, solution design patterns, and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, automation practices, infrastructure, integrations, and modern engineering approaches.
Advanced systems thinking and ability to connect technical decisions to organizational outcomes.
Deep understanding of platform reliability, observability, security, governance, and operational excellence.
