Job summary

Foundant is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive architectural decisions across our product portfolio. You will own shared services, ensure reliability, and guide teams through complex, multi-product initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding where needed and strategic design decisions to elevate our software across domains. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with scalable architectures, AI-assisted development tools, and a track record of delivering robust production

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including principal/staff level.
• Mastery of architectural patterns and judgment for applying them across apps/services.
• Experience owning production services, with emphasis on reliability and incident response.
• Proven ability to diagnose complex issues spanning components, services, or teams.
• Professional experience with AI-assisted development tools in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product teams to tackle hard technical problems and deliver working code.
• Own architectural decisions at application and service levels for production readiness.
• Oversee changes to shared services and ensure ongoing production care.
• Diagnose systemic issues that cross component/service boundaries.
• Lead solution design on significant initiatives with clear direction for engineers.
• Define how AI-assisted development is used—when to rely on it and when to review.
• Move fluidly across products and domains to uplift teams and systems.
