Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Founding / Senior Software Engineer to join a small, early-stage applied AI research company operating remotely with HQ in San Francisco. You will own and shape the architecture of Python-based backend systems for long-running research tasks.

Responsibilities include designing agent workflows, orchestration, evaluation, traceability, and production ML systems while collaborating closely with the founders on technical direction and product decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend or applied-AI experience.
• Experience building agent workflows, orchestration, evaluation, traceability or production ML systems.
• Excellent systems thinking and ownership of end-to-end technical projects.
• Able to work hands-on in a very small team and shape architecture.
• Evidence of startup delivery, research, open source, or standout systems work.

Responsibilities

• Design agent workflows for planning, task decomposition, tool use and memory.
• Build Python backend systems for long-running research workflows.
• Develop evaluation systems for answer quality, reasoning reliability and data accuracy.
• Improve traceability across agent decisions, generated code, data sources and outputs.
• Own ambiguous technical problems from architecture through production and iteration.
• Work closely with the founders on technical direction and product decisions.
