Job summary

DrFirst is seeking a senior engineering leader to architect and ship production AI automation systems at scale. You will drive backend and frontend work, mentor engineers, and partner with department VPs to map workflows and unlock efficiency.

This remote-first role emphasizes hands-on building (80%) and servant leadership (20%), with a focus on secure integrations, OAuth2, and enterprise-grade reliability across AWS, Kubernetes, and modern SaaS tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production systems end-to-end (backend, frontend, integrations, infrastructure).
• Staff/Principal Engineer or Tech Lead experience, owning technical decisions on production systems.
• Shipped SaaS products with OAuth2, multi-tenancy, audit trails, and enterprise compliance.
• Deep AI/ML experience: production systems using LLM APIs and agent frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build production AI automation systems from discovery to deployment.
• Lead backend/front-end work and mentor engineers; map workflows with department leaders.
• Ship 3-5 production tools per sprint and ensure secure, scalable deployments.
