Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (26-434) to design, develop, and maintain Java-based software for the C2BMC Global system in a large distributed environment. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and on-site work with no remote option, with travel up to 10%.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 5 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Active, in-scope Top Secret clearance required to start
• Proficiency in Java and ability to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot Java applications in a distributed environment
• Experience developing software in a Unix/Linux environment
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, testing and debugging techniques
• Experience working in an Agile software development team
• Familiarity with Java Spring and server-side development in distributed systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers
• Experience with common software development tools: Git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, Eclipse

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based software for the C2BMC Global system in a large distributed environment
• Provide analysis and technical support for a large Java codebase, including debugging and integration
• Follow specifications to modify functionality ensuring robustness and maintainability
• Design, code, test, and implement tools to automate processes and improve efficiency
• Prepare technical documentation including design descriptions and test reports
• Collaborate with systems engineering, test, cyber, and other development teams to resolve problems
• Analyze performance issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
