Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration is seeking a mid-level software developer in Colorado Springs, CO to join the C2BMC product team. The role focuses on analyzing missile defense data, developing features in an Agile Scrum setting, and advancing algorithms and tools used to support national defense operations.

The candidate should have strong MATLAB/Python experience, Linux proficiency, and a solid foundation in software engineering processes, with excellent communication

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret government clearance at time of application.
• Bachelor's degree or higher with corresponding years of experience; or 9 years' experience as alternative.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib).
• Experience in systems analysis, software verification, or model-based analysis of defense-grade systems.
• Experience with Linux command line, Bash, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-world data about Missile Defense and Space Domain Awareness
• As part of an Agile Scrum team, develop and complete features and stories mapped to program objectives
• Develop new algorithms and tools to utilize data effectively
• Actively update current algorithms and tools based on new data
• Participate in and contribute to technical reviews and briefing packages

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field

Master’s degree in a related field

9 years of relevant work experience (alternative to a degree)
