Job summary

QVC, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive enterprise automation and AI-enabled engineering. You will define technical standards and guide architecture decisions across our technology landscape while mentoring teams to improve speed, quality, and maintainability.

You will lead modernization initiatives, collaborate with cybersecurity and operations, and ensure solutions are secure and scalable across multiple brands and platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, enterprise architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, system integration, distributed systems, and scalable solution design.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to influence technical direction and drive adoption across teams without direct managerial authority.
• Experience leading complex modernization or transformation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale automation and AI solutions.
• Define and maintain architecture standards, engineering best practices, and governance processes.
• Partner with business leaders and teams to align technical solutions with business priorities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve engineering delivery and resiliency.
• Guide software engineering excellence through architecture and design reviews and assessments.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads to raise engineering standards.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and lead troubleshooting for production issues.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations to ensure secure, compliant solutions.
