Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Principal Applied AI Architect to own AI-powered product design across the enterprise. You will write specs, design systems, and ship production AI applications using agents and coding tools while collaborating with platform owners and security/compliance teams.

You will coach other architects, review AI-generated code, and influence enterprise AI strategy within the Enterprise Architecture organization, with a remote-first setup across the continental USA.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering and architecture
• 8+ years operating at the architecture altitude
• 2+ years building production AI applications using LLMs and agentic systems
• Hands-on with major foundation models and at least one agent framework
• Strong Python plus another production language

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value AI use cases and shape into products
• Design end-to-end AI systems with integration and observability
• Write PRDs, design docs, and architecture records
• Build production implementations using AI coding agents
• Coach architects and engineers on applied-AI techniques and workflows
• Build reusable building blocks for other teams
