Job summary

Citi is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida, on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on defining the technology strategy for Citi Digital, building reliable, scalable, high-performance services and architectures with strong engineering leadership.

You will mentor architects, lead design reviews, and collaborate with PMTs, TPMs, and SDEs to shape architecture and drive innovative solutions, including Generative AI initiatives, across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in enterprise architecture and cloud platforms.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define the technology strategy for Citi Digital team and align with overall tech direction.
• Provide leadership to architects and engineering teams; guide product delivery and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across PMTs, TPMs and SDEs to define architectural designs.
• Plan and manage large, multi-project initiatives with significant budget and risk management.
• Participate in design reviews; promote best practices and reusable patterns.
• Drive cross-team AI initiatives and adoption of AI tooling across the SDLC.
