Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior AI/ML & Agentic AI Engineer in Jacksonville, FL, to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions. You will work across Python and Java services, implement generative AI features, and ensure scalable, production-ready deployments on major cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes autonomous agentic systems, RAG/dense retrieval, and a strong DevOps mindset, with mentorship for junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive software engineering and AI/ML development, with focus on Generative AI/Agentic AI.
• Portfolio of results leveraging Python, Java, cloud services, and CI/CD/DevOps in an enterprise setting.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions, including AI assistants.
• Architect end-to-end AI systems with Python backends and Java services.
• Design intelligent agentic systems with autonomous decision-making for automation.
• Develop, tune, and optimize LLMs and integrate into production pipelines.
• Advance RAG, prompt engineering, and retrieval systems for enterprise use.
• Own deployment pipelines with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes on AWS/Azure/GCP.
