Mascoma Bank is seeking a Principal Software Architect to join our subsidiary, Mascoma Technologies. This person must have extensive knowledge of software development practices and banking practices, and will use that knowledge and experience to create functional, elegant, and maintainable solutions to complex technical challenges.

The responsibilities include:

1. Hands-on Python development
2. High-level design and architecture for the team
3. Collaborate with the Software Development team to meet growing business needs
4. Provide mentorship to junior team members

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of experience in software development and architecture in an enterprise environment
• Expertise in software development concepts, performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
• Expert familiarity with Python development
• AWS Architect certification

This position can be performed remotely within our service areas.
