Mascoma Bank is seeking a Principal Software Architect to join our subsidiary, Mascoma Technologies. This individual must possess extensive knowledge of software development practices and banking practices, leveraging this expertise to create functional, elegant, and maintainable solutions for complex technical challenges.

The role involves both hands-on Python development and high-level design and architecture for the team. The software developed or architected will help Mascoma Technologies meet growing business needs and sustain a competitive edge in the financial industry.

The Principal Software Architect will report to the Director of Software Engineering and may provide mentorship and insights to junior team members.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software development and architecture in an enterprise environment
• Expert knowledge in software development concepts
• Understanding of how design decisions impact performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
• Expertise in Python development
• AWS Architect certification (preferred)
