Mascoma Bank is seeking a Principal Software Architect to join our subsidiary, Mascoma Technologies.

This individual must possess extensive knowledge of software development practices and banking practices. They will leverage this expertise to create functional, elegant, and maintainable solutions for complex technical challenges. The role involves hands-on Python development as well as high-level design and architecture for the team.

The architect's work, in collaboration with the Software Development team, will support Mascoma Technologies in meeting growing business needs and maintaining a competitive edge in the financial industry. The Principal Software Architect will report to the Director of Software Engineering and may provide mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software development and architecture in an enterprise environment.
• Expert knowledge of software development concepts, with an understanding of how design decisions impact performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Proficiency in Python development is essential.
• AWS Architect certification is preferred.
