Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Principal Photonics Integration Engineer to lead silicon photonics and heterogeneous integration efforts, guiding programs from concept through manufacturing. You will collaborate across R&D, device, and manufacturing teams to optimize process integration and drive AI-enabled decision-making.

The role requires advanced degrees with substantial industry experience, strong leadership, and a track record in photonics and packaging technologies.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with 3+ years in industry; or MS with 5+ years; or Bachelor's with ~7 years in industry.
• Experience integrating silicon photonics processes in semiconductor development/manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor process integration and DOE
• Experience with tape-out execution and device integration
• Leadership of multi-functional technical projects using data-driven approaches

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end process integration flows for silicon photonics from concept to manufacturing readiness
• Lead integration and process development for photonic devices and advanced packaging
• Drive DOE, yield improvement, defect reduction, and root cause investigations
• Collaborate with design, device, packaging, and manufacturing teams for tapeouts and technology transfers
• Lead technical programs, roadmaps, and AI-enabled engineering initiatives
