Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel SEIT Business Unit, working on system integration across weapon platforms. Location options include Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT, with a 9/80 work schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role requires strong systems engineering skills, proven leadership, and cross-team collaboration to drive interface solution development and contract objectives. U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance (investigation date within last 6 years).
• 5+ years related experience with bachelor's degree; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD.
• Minimum 2 years working on ICBMs.
• Minimum 2 years Systems Engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of DOORS or related experience.
• Direct development experience of interface products (IRS, IDD, ICD) and requirement specifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving; systems thinking mindset.
• Experience with creating and executing to schedule and technical recovery plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration activities for systems-of-systems integration and test planning.
• Coordinate between SEIT and other systems interface teams.
• Develop key system engineering artifacts like requirements specs and interface definitions.
• Participate in technical planning, verification/validation, cost/risk analyses.
• Perform trades studies to resolve cost/capability gaps.
• Demonstrate leadership principles and ethics.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
