Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. Locations include Rancho Bernardo, CA; El Segundo, CA; or Palmdale, CA.

Qualifications

• Must have a STEM degree with 8+ years (BS), 6+ (MS), or 4+ (PhD) of relevant experience.
• Must have lifecycle experience: requirements development, decomposition, management and traceability.
• Experience with requirements tools (DOORS/DOORS Next or similar).
• Experience with ICD development and interface definition.
• Experience delivering technical briefings to customers or leadership.

Responsibilities

• Apply full systems engineering lifecycle from concept through V&V and delivery.
• Develop V&V strategies and plans with verification and validation.
• Coordinate with test and specialty teams to ensure correct verification.
• Create and maintain ICDs with IPTs, suppliers, and customers.
• Support system architectures and CONOPS with cross-functional teams.
• Provide input to SRR, PDR, CDR and integration/test readiness reviews.
• Deliver technical briefings to leadership and customers.
