Job summary

Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience developing complex biological assays, models, and platforms.
- Experience leading bench scientists and translating complex data into actionable decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the scientific team at the San Francisco site, including hiring, mentoring, and maintaining rigor.
- Set scientific direction and experimental strategy for the platform and drive clear conclusions.
- Oversee assay development, technology transfer from R&D, and platform readiness for external execution.
- Lead external partner programs from experimental design to data delivery.
- Remain hands-on with difficult experiments and troubleshooting on the bench.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with operations, automation, and software teams.
