Job summary

Parallel Bio seeks a senior scientific strategy leader to guide the company’s human-first drug discovery platform. You will set the scientific roadmap, prioritize disease areas, and direct interdisciplinary teams across biology, AI/ML, and translational science.

This is a pre-IND role focused on shaping early discovery and external collaborations. You are the highest scientific authority, partnering with leadership to decide what to pursue, how to read out success, and how to translate biology

Qualifications

PhD in biomedical or bioengineering with broad immunology expertise.
A proven scientific communicator capable of briefing executives, drafting patents, and influencing the scientific community.

Responsibilities

Define and own the scientific roadmap across disease areas, targets, and models.
Direct disease modeling with cross-functional teams and validate readouts.
Lead with AI/ML collaboration to steer platform-driven target selection and benchmarking.
Shape partnerships and the BD narrative to maximize platform value.
Drive in-licensing strategies and public scientific narrative (patents, papers, talks).
Decide internal drug discovery programs and set the scientific direction for the company.
