Job summary

Genentech, a Roche company in South San Francisco, seeks a senior scientific leader to develop the Foundational Data and Models strategy in Computational Neuroscience. You will advance data ecosystems, apply AI agents, and integrate human genetics and single-cell atlases to inform neurodegenerative targets and biomarkers.

The role requires onsite presence at least 3 days a week, relocation support, and contributes to pipeline programs with biomarker and safety studies.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with in-depth training in a relevant field.
• Successful postdoctoral research or ≥3 years equivalent experience after PhD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data and models strategy for computational neuroscience.
• Leverage Perturb-seq, atlases, and genetics to prioritize targets.
• Mine large data with AI/automation to derive insights.
• Support target validation, mechanism of action, safety, and biomarker studies.
• Lead computational aspects on pipeline programs across Neuroscience.
