Genentech, a Roche company, is advancing Biological Research | AI Development (BRAID) within AI Biology & Translation. We seek a Scientist/Senior Scientist with strong computational and data-science foundations to develop AI methods that translate into biological and clinical impact.

You will define modeling applications for trial decision processes and partner with clinical teams to ensure models improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience building machine learning and AI models from scratch.
• Hands-on experience working with messy genomics data and/or clinical datasets.

Responsibilities

• Build New AI Models: Develop innovative models to enhance insights from outcome data and design interpretable ML frameworks.
• Connect Molecular and Clinical Data: Create models that link heterogeneous molecular data with clinical outcomes.
• Master the Data: Integrate messy, heterogeneous data from internal and public cohorts into a unified modeling framework.
• Influence Trial Design: Identify data collection requirements for future trial designs to ensure modeling success.
• Deploy and Educate: Share and deploy these models with clinical stakeholders to drive impact.
