Job summary

GreatAmerica is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define, influence and drive enterprise technology strategy across multiple platforms. You will set reusable patterns, governance standards, and long-term direction while balancing cost, security and performance with business outcomes.

You will lead cross‑team technical decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, risk, and vendor partners to ensure scalable, secure Salesforce and integration solutions that align with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
12+ years of software engineering experience, especially in Salesforce Sales Cloud/Service Cloud/Experience Cloud.
Ability to lead technical design reviews and establish standards across teams.
Experience with Salesforce security framework and Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Lightning web Components.
Experience with Salesforce integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

Define long-term technical direction and engineering strategy across platforms.
Influence enterprise integration patterns, API design, and data movement standards.
Define security, reliability, observability, and operational readiness expectations for critical systems.
Lead cross-team initiatives, remove blockers, and balance near-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
Mentor engineers and drive governance, standards, and architectural patterns across the organization.
