Job summary

MaxLinear is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer to join our team in Irvine. You will develop ATE test solutions for RF SoCs and lead cross-functional discussions on testability architecture and efficient solution development.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive R&D experiments, evaluate new automation tools, and help attract top talent while aligning with KPIs for test coverage and cost. This role requires strong RF, mixed-signal, and digital knowledge and a track record of taking

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 5 years of experience, or MS + 3 years.
• Expertise in multi-site production test solutions for complex RF SoCs using Advantest 93K wave scale.
• Experience in C, C++, Java, VB, LabVIEW, or automation scripting (PERL, PYTHON, or MATLAB).
• Proven track record of leading test development and taking RF SOCs to high-volume production.

Responsibilities

• Develop ATE test solutions for highly integrated RF SoC ICs.
• Lead cross-functional discussions on testability architecture and test solution development.
• Define, document, and drive best practices within test engineering team.
