Job summary

MaxLinear seeks a Senior Manager or Director of RF/Mixed-Signal Design to lead and grow a team focused on IP development for high-speed data center SERDES in Irvine and Carlsbad. You will work with senior technical leads on architecture and execution from concept to tape-out, ensuring quality and manufacturability of complex CMOS RF ICs.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive RF/Mixed-Signal experience, and a proven ability to drive projects across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive analog/mixed-signal or RF IC design experience in advanced CMOS, with a proven tape-out and productization record.
• Proven record of growing engineering teams, including hiring senior talent.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills and customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow the RF/Mixed-Signal Design team in Irvine & Carlsbad.
• Oversee IP development for 200G and 400G SERDES including DSPs, Drivers, and TIAs.
• Own execution from concept through tape-out and production release: schedules, staffing, risk, and delivery.
• Set design-review and tape-out readiness standards for quality and manufacturability.
• Work with Systems, Digital, CAD, and Technology teams to improve design flows and methodology.
• Work with customers from development through release to production.
• Represent the team in executive technical and business reviews.
