Job summary

MaxLinear is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer in Irvine to lead the development of ATE test solutions for highly integrated RF SoCs used in Wireless, Cable, and High-Speed Interconnect applications.

You will drive testability architecture discussions, guide best practices, and oversee R&D experiments in new hardware and software concepts, while mentoring junior engineers and helping attract top talent.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 9+ years exp, or MS with 7+ years
• Experience in developing multi-site production test solutions for complex RF SoCs
• Proficiency with Advantest 93K wave/port scale test systems
• Proficient in C/C++, Java, Python, LabVIEW, PERL, MATLAB

Responsibilities

• Develop ATE test solutions for RF SoCs for Wireless, Cable, and High-Speed Interconnect
• Lead cross-functional discussions on testability architecture and ATE HW design
• Define and drive best practices within the test engineering team
• Drive R&D experiments for new hardware and software concepts
• Evaluate new software/automation tools to improve test development efficiency
• Provide training and technical guidance to junior test engineers
• Interact with test ecosystem to meet business needs
• Accountable for KPIs: test coverage, cost, product spec compliance
