Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Engineer for RF and Optical System Integration & Verification in the Emerging Systems unit. You will own end-to-end integration, bring-up, and verification strategy for TeraWave payloads, terminals, and ground segments, guiding teams through HITL emulation, on-orbit validation, and high-performance testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in RF and/or optical communications system integration, test, and verification for complex hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the integration and verification (I&V) architecture for one or more TeraWave RF and optical system areas (payload, terminals, ground stations, links).
• Conduct trade studies, build prototypes, and provide early feasibility analysis for I&V options across test approaches.
• Define and own verification strategy and requirements traceability from ConOps to on-orbit validation.
• Develop and teach advanced technical principles across the full development cycle (requirements to test).
