Job description

SwingSearch was founded in 2005 when CEO & Founder, Jennifer Loftus, saw that the standard recruiting agency model did not offer the network and talent that startups and high-growth companies in Silicon Valley needed. Since then, the SwingSearch team has doubled down on finding talent with ‘Startup DNA’; the determination, perseverance, and grit that modern leaders need to build companies and lead in ambiguity.

Today, the world’s best venture capitalists lean on SwingSearch to place leaders at the game-changing companies they invest in. We are a team of 35, distributed across the country with a remote-first team culture. The SwingSearch team is made up of senior, experienced recruiters, executive researchers and startup operators who have scaled companies from Seed to IPO and understand the dynamic skills and characteristics it requires to lead in startup mode.

What You’ll Do:

  • Recruiting Strategy & Execution: Serve as a subject matter expert and partner to business leaders, managers, talent partners, and other key stakeholders to drive recruiting strategy within various functions, including GTM, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and G&A.
  • Communication: Create and communicate the recruiting strategy across internal and external teams to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the search process.
  • Data Utilization: Use data to analyze search health and understand and improve recruiting effectiveness, ensuring a high-quality and efficient process.
  • Talent Attraction: Partner with internal sourcing teams and partners to develop innovative ways to attract and find passive talent, leveraging traditional and non-traditional recruiting methods.
  • Client Coaching: Develop, coach, and mentor clients through the recruiting process, providing expert guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Candidate Experience: Provide a consistent and positive experience for candidates and clients, maintaining Swing Search’s reputation for excellence in the startup ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within the start-up/tech industry.
  • At least 2 year of experience in stakeholder/client management, you are demonstrating the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and executives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sourcing, market mapping, target list creation, as well as strong networking skills, candidate research, and cold-calling experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to driving results and being solution-oriented.
  • Ability to manage relationships and provide exceptional customer service in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated confidence when advising and partnering with hiring managers.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands.
  • Experience recruiting for go-to-market and beyond (sales, marketing, and G&A), growth, product, and customer success disciplines are preferred.

Must Haves:

  • Previous agency recruiting and or/ in-house recruiting experience
  • Passion for technology and a strong interest in the tech industry
