Overview

Are you passionate about RF Design? Our RF Engineering Development department at CAES, part of Honeywell, offers career growth opportunities for an experienced Principal RF/Analog Design Engineer at our Woburn, MA site. Join our dynamic team of over 150 design engineers across five locations in the Eastern U.S. as we expand.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits using simulation tools such as Microwave Office, Visual System Simulator, HFSS, ADS.
• Make informed judgments on methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
• Test, tune, debug, and optimize prototype circuits to meet specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop test procedures and troubleshoot circuits on test benches and simulations.
• Prepare technical documentation for proposals and project reports.
• Coordinate with teams on project scheduling, process development, fixture design, and customer reviews.
• Assist in transitioning products from engineering to manufacturing, including writing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
• Mentor less experienced engineers and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• B.S. in Engineering
• 8+ years in RF Design
• Proficiency with AWR/ADS/HFSS or equivalent simulation tools
• Understanding RF parameters: S-parameters, Noise Figure, Intercept point, etc.
• Eligibility to access controlled US export technology and obtain security clearance

Preferred:

• 10+ years in RF Design
• Master's degree in Engineering
• Strong analytical, testing, and communication skills
• Experience with Ku and Ka Band surface mount design and RF/Microwave assemblies
• Background in defense industry and active DOD security clearance

Salary Range

Principal RF Engineer: $133,947.39 - $207,319.85. Compensation varies based on location, education, and experience.
