Job summary

Raytheon Technologies' SE&TC Surface Radars & Sensors Center in San Diego, CA seeks a Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support radar capability development. You will apply Linux expertise, test lab hardware/software, and drive system integration.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, MATLAB/Python, and hands-on lab testing, plus travel up to 15% domestically or internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with systems engineering, data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, Shell scripting, Linux, and/or Unix.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.
• Perform hands‑on testing and integration of hardware and software, with a focus on systems running Linux-based operating environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware, and operating systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.
• Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test analysis.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and program‑specific processes.
• Willingness to support up to 15% domestic and international travel.
