Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Electronics Engineer - Radar to support the Avionics Integration Organization in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on radar sensor integration for air vehicle and ground segments, reporting to the Radar Responsible Engineer within the MS IPT.

The selected candidate will travel up to 25% and may have a hybrid work arrangement; strong collaboration and testing in engineering labs are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 5+ years related experience OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and team collaboration.
• Experience with coding/scripting languages (MATLAB, Python).
• Experience with data analysis processes and techniques.
• Experience performing System Integration and Linux OS tasks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Radar team activities to integrate the Radar sensor on aircraft and ground systems.
• Provide technical oversight and reviews of engineering from Radar supplier.
• Manage technical risks, opportunities, and issues.
• Support reporting of status and tasks to IPT Leads and Program Managers.
• Research, design, develop, test, and sustain electronic equipment related to Radar sensors.
• Support testing and integration in lab and production facilities.
