Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Radar Integrated Product Team, supporting the design and integration of a new ground-based radar for Space Domain Awareness. You will work cross-functionally on SRR/PDR/CDR milestones, in an RF lab environment, and with BOMs and assembly drawings.
The role requires a strong Systems Engineering background, MBSE practices, and experience with RF components, LNA analysis, and subcontract
Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required.
- Experience with RF systems, LNA, and RF signal chain analysis.
- Experience with reading and developing engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Experience with subcontractor technical management and MBSE principles.
Responsibilities
- Define radar hardware architecture with the Radar IPT.
- Develop component specifications, procurement requirements, and SNOWs.
- Manage major subcontractors and perform parameter compliance analysis.
- Support RF lab characterization, BOM documentation, and integration plans.
- Assist in design trade studies and participate in leadership reviews.
