Job summary

AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER (AEP) is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to coordinate team activities and support PMs. This role focuses on scheduling and commodity tracking for major projects, ensuring accurate status reporting and integration with senior management.

Responsibilities include developing fully integrated schedules, mentoring junior schedulers, and interfacing with field teams and contractors to maintain on-time delivery and adherence to governance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex project schedules and scope of work.
• Ability to develop and maintain milestone schedules and governance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define activities, durations, sequences and logic to build scope plans and milestones.
• Develop integrated system schedules with resource loading and critical path lines.
• Mentor junior schedulers and lead schedule review meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide schedule status updates and risk/mitigation actions to management.
• Interface with site teams, contractors, and senior leadership on scheduling matters.
• Coordinate schedule and cost integration (SPI/CPI) for scope units.
