The Linux Foundation seeks a Principal Product Manager for FOCUS (FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification). This role leads ecosystem-level strategy, roadmaps, and cross-organizational execution across the FinOps Foundation and related groups, with a focus on AI service charging models and open source governance.

Fully remote, US/SA/EU time zones preferred; travel several times a year. 10–15 years of product/technical leadership expected.

Formación

• BS/BA degree and 10–15 years of product or technical leadership experience.
• Domain expertise in cloud billing data, FinOps, and enterprise platforms.
• Ability to translate complex technical challenges into scalable solutions.
• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with GitHub, SQL, and information architecture concepts.
• Experience guiding open source projects and cross-functional programs.
• Proven track record in multi-stakeholder initiatives and certification programs.

Responsabilidades

• Define product architecture and strategy with staff and working group maintainers.
• Lead multi-year roadmaps and de-risk releases with KPIs and milestones.
• Govern the backlog with scalable prioritization frameworks across orgs.
• Drive AI innovations by defining how FOCUS handles AI service charges.
• Influence industry and evangelize FOCUS across executives, engineers, and communities.
• Manage complex relationships among cloud providers, vendors, and practitioners.
• Foster community insights and validate market assumptions with data.
• Mentor teams and align efforts to foundation-wide objectives.
• Scale conformance certification and oversee training programs.
