Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Principal Product Manager - Technical External Services to define the future of AWS contract automation. You will architect AI-powered systems that draft, simulate, negotiate, ingest, and validate contracts with guardrails, enabling self-service agreements for enterprise and mid-market customers.

You will lead multi-year product strategy, design scalable data models, and collaborate with billing, agreements, and commercial operations to align with go-to-market goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• 6+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects.
• Experience building deep client and agency relationships.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy spanning multiple years, driving contract automation initiatives from concept through production.
• Architect the machine-readable data model that represents AWS's commercial agreements as structured, actionable data, including reusable contract terms and policy rules.
• Design AI-powered contract generation and negotiation experiences with appropriate guardrails and escalation mechanisms.
• Define self-service contract experiences for enterprise and mid-market customers.
• Build simulation and data-driven decision-support capabilities for deal teams.
• Establish mechanisms that make cross-organizational delivery repeatable.
• Conduct direct research with deal teams and enterprise customers to validate product direction.
• Partner with sales, business development, and deal strategy teams to align with go-to-market strategy.
• Mentor other product managers and contribute to raising the product bar.
