Job summary

Bankrate is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape how brand and consumer experiences are implemented across fintech products. You will lead large-scale projects, work with the Head of Design, and partner with Product leaders and researchers to define outcomes.

You will build agentic systems, contribute to the design system and UX copy, mentor designers, and drive cross-functional innovation with engineering. Prototyping in code and comfort with Next.js, Tailwind, and GitHub are valued.

• Portfolio shows design work that changed product strategy across teams.
• Long-range consumer vision with measurable outcomes.
• Experience in fintech/startup/consumer advocacy.
• Directed generative discovery with researchers; separate findings from opinions.

Responsibilities

• Consumer Vision & Strategy: Shape the consumer experience direction with concrete concepts and prototypes.
• Strategic Implementation: Lead large-scale projects solo or with designers.
• Research Coordination: Decide what to research next and ensure findings influence build decisions.
• Agentic Systems Enablement: Build systems, design and UX copy systems, connected to code.
• Cross-Functional Innovation: Propose and start initiatives across product and engineering.
• Mentorship & Design Org Capability: Mentor designers and share effective workflows.
