Job summary

True Link is a profitable fintech company building financial solutions for people underserved by traditional institutions. We seek a Principal Product Designer to join our lean, senior product team as a senior individual contributor.

You will own design quality across core business lines, lead customer insight, and translate findings into strategic design decisions. You’ll work with product managers and engineering leads, report to the Head of Design, and operate in a largely autonomous role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience in lean teams.
• Fintech, financial services, or regulated product experience a plus.
• Leads with the user and conducts research proactively.
• End-to-end design expertise from discovery to QA.
• Wants to stay hands-on as an IC while guiding design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design for Card Platform and adjacent products.
• Support design needs for Trust & Invest business with micro-iterations.
• Drive customer insight through interviews, usability tests, and concept testing; translate findings into design implications.
• Advocate for the user perspective in cross-functional discussions.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape requirements and maintain coherence across products.
• Represent design in client-facing settings as needed.
• Produce polished design work using existing design patterns and maintain coherence.
• Handle big features, incremental iterations, mobile polish, and sales visuals.
