Job summary

VIA, headquartered in Boston, seeks a Principal Product Designer to own end-to-end design for AI and security-focused platforms. You will collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering to translate complex architectures into intuitive, secure experiences.

The role emphasizes designing for agentic workflows, data sharing, and trusted interfaces across enterprise environments. You will lead design efforts across product suites, mentor designers, and help shape scalable patterns while balancing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years in complex enterprise or technical domains (AI platforms, cybersecurity, identity, or data-intensive systems).
• Technical fluency: comfortable reading system architecture and designing within real constraints.
• Agentic and collaborative workflow experience in multi-user/shared-state environments.
• Strategic curiosity to uncover hidden technical problems or user needs.
• Systemic thinking for complex workflows and security-focused systems.
• Strong visual design sensibility with clarity in complex interfaces.
• Design leadership and mentorship to scale the design team.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX/UI design across VIA's product suite, including AI-native platforms and data environments.
• Translate high-level workflows into low-fidelity mockups for engineering teams.
• Design for secure-by-default interaction patterns with data visibility and access control.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to balance technical complexity and user value.
• Lead strategic design efforts for data-driven platforms and cohesive workflows.
• Partner with Engineering to align on backend logic and feature execution.
• Translate requirements into clear, high-fidelity product concepts.
• Transition from strategy and wireframes to prototypes and UI copy.
• Champion responsible use of AI in human-centered design.
