Job summary

VIA, based in Boston, seeks a Principal Product Designer to own end-to-end UX for AI-driven platforms and data environments. You will translate complex architectures into intuitive experiences, moving from discovery through handoff while maintaining security and trust at the core.

You will mentor designers, shape design patterns, and collaborate with engineering to deliver cohesive workflows across the product suite.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 in complex enterprise or technical domains (AI platforms, cybersecurity, identity, or data-intensive systems)
• You can read system architecture and influence direction
• You navigate UX problems with multiple users or agents interacting with shared state

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX/UI design across VIA's product suite, including AI-native platforms and collaborative data environments
• Translate high-level workflows into low-fidelity mockups for engineering teams
• Design for secure-by-default interaction patterns with data visibility and access control as core UX constraints
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate tradeoffs between complexity and user value
• Lead strategic design efforts for data-driven platforms and scalable systems
• Partner with Engineering to align on backend logic and support complex features
• Translate requirements into clear, high-fidelity product concepts
• Transition from strategy and wireframing to prototypes and UI copy
• Champion AI-driven design and establish reusable design patterns
