Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Specialist in Procurement to lead supplier engagements and subcontract management for production and R&D. This remote US-based role focuses on delivering value, ensuring compliance, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.

You will work with IPTs to address program challenges, apply FAR/DFAR guidance, and drive procurement strategies using ERP systems, while enjoying a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant procurement experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
Ability to read and understand drawing specifications.
Experience with cost and price analysis and leading formal negotiations.
Experience with FAR/DFAR regulations.
U.S. Person or eligible to obtain export authorizations.

Responsibilities

Negotiate and administer subcontract types for production and R&D.
Collaborate with program management and engineering to define procurement strategies.
Monitor subcontractor performance metrics and apply corrective actions.
Prepare subcontract documentation in compliance with FAR/DFAR.
Analyze complex supply chain challenges and develop solutions.
Plan and execute assigned procurement tasks independently.
Interface with IPTs to address program challenges and provide procurement solutions.
Utilize ERP systems to manage procurement execution and drive material outcomes.
