Job summary

Elastic in the United States is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own how Elastic Security is packaged, priced, and sold on Elastic Cloud Serverless.

You will redesign pricing and packaging, own the pricing recommendations, and work with Finance, Engineering, Sales, and Product Marketing to deliver a secure, margin-friendly consumption model for SIEM, XDR, and cloud security on Serverless.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years in product management, with security or cloud data experience.
• Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing.
• Experience simplifying a pricing model that had grown too complex.
• Product experience with SIEM, XDR, endpoint, cloud security, or a security operations platform.
• Ability to forecast with Finance and model margins.

Responsibilities

• Redesign how Security is packaged and priced on Serverless.
• Define the tiers, feature entitlements, and usage meters.
• Test options against customer demand and COGS; present to senior executive team.
• Own margin; model cost with Platform team and Finance.
• Grow Security on Serverless from PoC to renewal; manage migrations and retention.
• Define cost controls and pricing estimators; keep packaging simple.
• Write PRDs and pricing proposals; coordinate with Security Eng, Platform, Billing, and Cloud Ops.
• Stay close to the market; discuss pricing with customers and field teams.
